Summary

The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Paris facilitates public relations for all parts of the U.S. mission in France. Under the direction of the Minister Counselor for Public Affairs, the section includes the Press Attaché, the Cultural Attaché, and a team of specialized professionals. Among other activities, the section runs the Embassy’s website and Facebook page, maintains relations with the media, carries out cultural programs, and manages a range of exchange programs for professionals, scholars and students. The overarching goal of the section is to promote mutual understanding by reaching out to audiences throughout France, and to build and strengthen institutional linkages between France and the United States.
